Paul
Veterinary Room Technician
Paul has been an invaluable member of BCVC for over 4 years, excelling in roles as a veterinary technician and playing a key role in managing the practice's social media channels. His journey at BCVC has coincided with his academic pursuits at Rutgers University, where he majored in Animal Science & Marine Science. During his time at Rutgers, Paul gained diverse experience working with a wide range of animals, including large production animals, lab animals, exotics, and wildlife & aquatic species. He recently achieved a significant milestone by earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Rutgers University. Outside of work and studies, Paul finds joy in the company of his 11-year-old Yorkie, 8-year-old Leopard Gecko, and 2-year-old Betta Fish at home. He values BCVC as a constant reminder that providing exceptional veterinary care is achievable. Paul's dedication, combined with his academic achievements and passion for animal welfare, continues to make a positive impact at BCVC and within the community.

Morgan
Veterinary Surgical TechnicianMorgan is a passionate veterinary technician with over 5 years of experience in animal care. Graduating from Bergen Community College's esteemed Veterinary Technician Program in 2023, Morgan has been an integral part of the BCVC team since 2020. Morgan's dedication to animal welfare is evident both professionally and personally. At home, she cares for two beloved dogs: Lina, a 10-year-old Dachshund mix, and Bailey, a 2-year-old Doberman mix, who bring joy and companionship to her life. For Morgan, the most rewarding aspect of her career in the veterinary industry is the opportunity to work closely with animals. She finds deep emotional fulfillment in providing compassionate care and building lasting connections with her furry patients.

Ayanna
Veterinary Room Technician
Ayanna brings over 3 years of dedicated service to the Bergen County Veterinary Center team, backed by more than five years of experience in animal care. Her journey includes valuable internships with various wildlife conservation groups, fueling her aspiration to leverage veterinary medicine for wildlife conservation as a non-profit wildlife technician. Ayanna finds great fulfillment in her role at Bergen County Veterinary Center, where she appreciates the unwavering dedication of her teammates in delivering exceptional care to their patients. Known for her perpetual smile, Ayanna embodies positivity and enthusiasm in her interactions.

Angela
Veterinary Technician
Angela‘s journey in the veterinary field began in 2018, fueled by her lifelong passion for animals. From a young age, she knew she wanted a career dedicated to the care of animals. At 15, she started pet sitting and working at a local grooming shop, experiences that deepened her love for animals. Her defining moment came when she shadowed at a veterinary clinic, solidifying her desire to pursue this path further. Angela has since developed a strong interest in anesthesia and radiology, where she thrives in providing critical care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends or unwinding with a good book.

Christen
Veterinary Surgical TechnicianChristen brings over 16 years of experience to BCVC, with a dedicated commitment spanning 8 years at our practice. Her journey into veterinary medicine began with a heartfelt passion for animals during her time pet sitting. Graduating from the Bergen Community College Veterinary Technology Program marked a pivotal step in her career. Prior to this, Christen earned a bachelor's degree in Communications with a minor in Spanish from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her professional journey led her through roles in the ad/sales industry in NYC, including notable stints at the Weather and Discovery Channels. Despite her success, it was a personal loss that sparked her true calling—her beloved childhood dog's passing inspired her to delve deeper into animal care. Outside the clinic, Christen is a devoted pet parent to three dogs and a cat. Barkley, her 16-year-old Cavachon, Charlie/Chuckie, her 11-year-old Catahoula mix and completing her furry family is Craig the cat. Christen's profound affinity for dogs led her to establish a thriving full-time business in pet sitting. Under her care, Vet Tech Pet Sit™ offers trusted dog walking and pet sitting services. Though her entrepreneurial endeavor keeps her occupied, Christen remains connected to BCVC through managing their social media, maintaining a strong link with her colleagues and the clinic's community. While Christen misses being physically present at BCVC, her role in managing social media ensures her ongoing involvement with the team. Her dedication to both her entrepreneurial venture and her veterinary roots underscores her commitment to animal welfare and professional excellence.

Amy
Veterinary Surgical Technician
Amy has been an integral part of BCVC for approximately three years, having graduated from the Bergen Community College Veterinary Technology Program in 2021. Her journey into veterinary medicine was inspired by her personal experience of caring for her pets, which transformed her perspective and career path. Amy shares her home with Onyx, a 10-year-old Pitbull mix, and Nemo, her 7-year-old cat. Her dedication to animal welfare is deeply rooted in her own nurturing experiences with her beloved pets.Amy cherishes the supportive and compassionate environment at BCVC, where she appreciates the camaraderie and professionalism of her colleagues. She finds fulfillment in providing attentive care to animals, driven by her passion for ensuring their well-being.

Lauren
Veterinary Surgical Technician
Lauren has over 5 years of experience in veterinary client service and emergency animal care. Prior to joining Bergen County Veterinary Center, Lauren worked for Animal Emergency & Referral Associates as an Emergency Department Liaison to coordinate critical care logistics and support both clients and clinical teams with precision and empathy. With a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of clinical workflows, Lauren now oversees inventory management to ensure the center runs smoothly behind the scenes. Her ability to anticipate needs, streamline processes, and maintain essential supplies makes her an invaluable part of the team.
Lauren’s deep-rooted passion for animal welfare extends beyond the clinic. Over the years, she has been actively involved in rescuing and rehabilitating animals in need, offering them loving homes, and advocating for their care. This hands-on experience fuels her commitment to excellence in veterinary operations. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and their beloved pets—two dogs and two cats. Whether she’s exploring nature or relaxing at home, her love for animals and dedication to their well-being is always at the heart of what she does

Brooke
Veterinary Room Technician
Brooke brings over 5 years of hands-on experience in animal care to BCVC, where she has been a valued member for nearly a year. Currently pursuing a degree in Biology at Montclair State University, Brooke aspires to become a veterinarian, driven by her deep passion for animal welfare and health. At BCVC, Brooke thrives in the dynamic learning environment, relishing the opportunity to expand her knowledge and skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. She particularly enjoys interacting with clients, taking the time to understand each patient's unique personality and needs.

Christina
Veterinary Surgical TechnicianChristina is one of our seasoned veterinary technicians. Her journey at BCVC began before the doors officially opened, assisting with hospital preparations while pregnant with her middle child—a testament to her dedication from the outset. Her career in animal care started at the age of 16 with volunteering at the West Milford Animal Shelter, leading to over 18 years as a veterinary technician. Over the years, Christina has nurtured a passion for fostering, transitioning from dogs to currently fostering kittens. Her home is shared with two cherished cats, Belle and Nala (both 12 years old), and two beloved dogs, Hank (a 7-year-old German Shepherd) and Mila (a 13-year-old Lab mix). Christina's love for animals extends to a lifelong dream of working with tigers, though her fulfillment lies in nursing animals back to health and supporting them during their most vulnerable times. Her experience and compassion make her an invaluable member of the BCVC team, where she continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of both patients and their families.

Olivia
Veterinary Room Technician
Olivia joined BCVC in 2024, bringing over 2 years of experience in the veterinary industry. Her academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Outside her professional life, Olivia finds joy in hobbies that enrich her perspective and nurture her well-being. She enjoys exploring music as a form of relaxation and finds solace in the tranquility of hiking. At home, Olivia shares her space with two cherished feline companions: Milo, a 7-year-old brown tabby, and Groucho, a 10-year-old grey domestic shorthair. Their presence adds warmth and companionship to her daily life.

Veterinary Surgical Technician & Surgical Coordinator
Meet Vicky, a seasoned professional with over two decades dedicated to veterinary medicine. Her journey is intertwined with the loving care of her three dogs—Sexy Rexy, Cassie, and Hurricane Tilly—and four cherished cats: Andy, Betty, Archie, and Bob.
Beyond her thriving career, Vicky finds solace in the great outdoors, often exploring nature's wonders alongside her faithful canine companions. A passionate gardener, she nurtures tranquility and beauty in her surroundings, embodying a deep connection to both animals and the natural world.

Jeniree
Veterinary Room Technician
Jeniree brings 4 years of hands-on experience in the veterinary field and has been a valued member of the BCVC team since 2024.
Originally from Venezuela, her love for animals began at a young age, growing up in a household full of energy and love shared with six dogs. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion for animal care and wellnes. Outside of work, Jeniree enjoys spending time with her cat Kirara, who keeps her on her toes and reminds her of the joy pets bring into our lives every day.

Johanna
Veterinary Room Technician
Johanna earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science (pre‑veterinary) from Rutgers University–New Brunswick in 2023. With over three years of hands‑on experience in a clinical veterinary setting, she is skilled in patient assessments, administering vaccines, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with laboratory diagnostics and treatments.
Driven by her goal to become a veterinarian, Johanna is passionate about expanding her clinical skills—particularly in physical examinations, venipuncture, and supportive care. She’s committed to preventive medicine, client education, and delivering compassionate nursing care to every animal she supports.
At home, Johanna shares her life with two beloved companions: a curious cat and a charismatic parrot, whose unique personalities remind her daily of why she chose this career.
